Battersea Powerstation

A couple of weeks back I was talking about Battersea Power Station and how I’m infatuated with it. I’m not even sure why I rock on it so much. Maybe it’s a historical thing, or something to do with the fact that a city like London has/had such a visible source of power supply, back home the power stations are all a bit out of the way.

Dunno, when we first arrived in London I thought it was awful but now it’s probably one of my favorite structures in town. Well, anyway, I took a different way home from work to see how I’d go getting some pics from across the Thames. It would seem I’m not alone in my infatuation, turns out that’s where everyone goes to take their photos of the power station.

Anyway, I snapped a couple off but then felt a little cliché so will have to think about another way of looking at it. Mighty power station you vex me!

Old guy wearing a hat thinking

OK. I think this will be last of the Candid photos from New York. This guy was stood on the corner of West 58th Street and 5th Ave. We were waiting to cross the street with a bunch of other people but this guy was somewhere else entirely. Lost in thought or maybe just lost, I think it’s probably the former as he’s got a local New Yorker kind of vibe about him. I wonder what was on his mind? More than something like don’t for get to buy milk, I’m guessing.

Supafly guy - Greenwich Village

Another Candid from New York. This guy rocked my world! Nothing says “Straight up Mack” like a full length fur coat.

Another one shot from a distance and probably not the best photo, if I had a bigger set of nuts on me I would have been more obvious and just taken a closer shot but instead I hung back and this is all I got. This one falls under the category of regret. Still, He is crazy fly!

Policeman NYC

Another picture that fall under the category of people I don’t know. Traffic cops are everywhere in New York. I took this shot from a fair distance as I figured that police probably aren’t that down with having their picture taken, particularly this guy. He’s got a bit of a “You best not step to this” kinda vibe about him.

Flautist at the Falun Dafa Parade in New York

Jade and I had the good fortune to spend Easter in New York City. We both fell in love with the city and spent 5 days walking around thinking about where we’d live if we were to re-locate.

We stayed in Midtown and pretty much walked the length and breadth of Manhattan, from Spanish Harlem to visit our friend Andrea to wall street. It felt like I took loads of photos but it turns out that the majority of them are of typography and signage or people I don’t know like the one above.
